If you want to learn how to wakeboard then just follow the simple steps and techniques below to enjoy the adrenaline rush of wakeboarding. As you know, having the right wakeboarding equipment is important but having the desire and the drive to learn how to wakeboard is essential. Wakeboarding is also not about having a pro board if you are a beginner; rather, a larger board with bigger fins is more suitable for a beginner because it lets you maneuver the wakeboard into the direction you desire. If your right is your lead foot then it is considered normal and should be the foot behind the left. If your lead foot is your right foot then it is called goofy, ever wonder why? Think of being pushed hard at the back, then see what foot you will foot forward first to catch your balance. Normally, we use the right foot and only a few people use the left foot. This practice can also help you determine accurately what your lead foot is.

The binding is the next thing you need to know about. Beginners should put the bindings at shoulder width and place their rear foot near the back fin to have stability when changing directions. The angle of the bindings you are using is essential. You should start wakeboarding with your rear foot straight on the board or just slightly forward. On the other hand, your lead foot should be placed at an angle of around nine to twenty-seven degrees or two to three holes when you are starting. However, the most important consideration in determining your stance is whether you feel comfortable or not. The suggestion above is just a guide that is used by many wake boarders. In addition, the objective you must achieve as a beginner should be learning how to ride backwards but you need to have a neutral stance for this feat.

Now that you know the basics, it is time to start in actual wakeboarding. Try to start floating using a buoyancy vest first before you proceed further. Then, put the board perpendicularly to the rope and place your arms at the side of your knee in front. After you had done all these, it is now time to start your wakeboarding experience.
