Ray-Ban Aviator and Ray-Ban Wayfarer Review
Bausch & Lomb manufactured the famous Ray-Ban sunglasses in 1937. They were manufactured for the United States Army Air Corps. Subsequently, Italian Luxottica Group bought the brand from Bausch & Lomb in 1999 for $1.2 billion. The anti-glare technology was developed after a suggestion from Lieutenant Mc Cready, who had difficulty during flying a balloon. His eyes were hurt because of the glares caused by the sunlight. During the World War II when General Douglas MacArthur landed on the beach, the photographers clicked numerous snaps of him wearing Ray-Ban Aviators and since that day the Ray-Ban Aviator sunglasses came into focus and style. Ray-Ban sunglasses have made several appearances in Hollywood movies such as Breakfast at Tiffany's, Blues Brothers, Risky Business, Top Gun & Men In Black. President of US Barack Obama has also been spotted many times wearing Ray-Ban sunglasses. Even Michael Jackson played an important role in promoting the popularity of Ray-Ban sunglasses in 1990's. The two most famous and popular designs made by Ray-Ban brand are the Ray-Ban Aviator and Ray-Ban Wayfarer. The RB 2113 Wayfarer and the RB3293 Aviator are one of the most popular and iconic sunglasses that are made in Italy. These, even come with an attractive packaging, which improves the style and look, can be regarded as a favorable gift item. The nose-bridge of these sunglasses is very accurately placed which fits quite warmly on the nose of the user. The lenses are polarized and scratchproof with UVA and UVB protection. The frame is made up of durable plastic, which are quite comfortable, and with adjustable temples. The wayfarer brand of Ray-ban is accurately designed which is made of sturdy plastic material and are equally comfortable and convenient to be used regularly. The important factor of this sunglass is it bears the signature logo of Ray Ban. The aviator design is made of a durable metal frame and incidentally has an impact resistance lens. The model is available for both men and women. The metal frame does not suit to many people, as their skin is sensitive to metal. Various models of this model are available with a discount also. Ray-Ban sunglasses are manufactured for both men and women. You can use it while driving, playing sports or just as a fashion accessory. They come in various models for men, women and kids. Ray-Ban sunglasses are pretty cheap compared to other big brands like Oakley, Gucci, Chanel and Prada. They are very conveniently available in any shop or in the Internet. You can even get a good discount and still get a good pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses from on-line shops around the world. Owning a Ray-Ban sunglass also requires maintaining it. Therefore one should be careful to clean and restore it back to the case, when not in use. If you take the necessary precautionary measures for your sunglasses then it will last you a lifetime. In case you break or scratch your nosepiece, lens or your frame you can repair it, as Ray-Ban offers a warranty against the damages done to the sunglasses. If your warranty period is over Ray-Ban charges a nominal fee for repairing items. Each and every part of your ray ban sunglasses is made up of very durable materials, which are also very easily available.

Flying Monsters 3D with David Attenborough (Blu-Ray) $11.49 Two hundred million years ago there was an extraordinary development in the history of life: an ancient group of reptiles made a giant evolutionary leap into the skies. In this groundbreaking, BAFTA winning, documentary, David Attenborough travels back in time to discover how and why these creatures took flight, and why after 150 million years of aerial domination they vanished. Using state of the art CGI, and based on new finds and the latest research, Flying Monsters recreates these spectacular creatures and takes us into their world. Beginning on Dorsets 'Jurassic Coast', Davids journey takes him to sites around the world, from Southern France to New Mexico. With the help of a team of scientists he unravels one of palaeontologys enduring mysteries, how did lizards the size of giraffes defy gravity and soar through prehistoric skies? Driven by the information he finds as he attempts to answer these questions, Attenborough finds that the marvel of pterosaur flight has evolutionary echoes that resonate even today. This visually stunning film sees Attenborough break new ground in a career that has spanned six decades, offering a unique insight into the ancient world of the pterosaur a truly remarkable creature that paved the way for every single species of bird on the planet. The Special Feature on this disc is in 2D High Definition |

The Flying Death $30.12 1908. American author, Adams was a reporter for the New York Sun, who at the urging of his friend Ray Stannard Baker, joined McClures Magazine, where he gained a reputation as a muckraker for his articles on the conditions of public health in the United States. Adams also wrote a series of articles for Colliers Weekly, in which he exposed patent medicines; these pieces were credited with influencing the passage of the first Pure Food and Drugs Act. But his wise old family physician had prescribed the tipend of Long Island. See other titles by this author available from Kessinger Publishing. Author: Adams, Samuel Hopkins/ MacAuley, C. R. Flying Leathernecks - Subtitle $9.99 The Technicolor adventure epic Flying Leathernecks offers two things that film cultists can never get enough of: star John Wayne and director Nicholas Ray. Filmed at the behest of RKO chieftain Howard R. Hughes, Leathernecks is a paean to the Marine Flying Corps of World War II. Wayne plays Major Dan Kirby, a squadron commander, whose no-nonsense attitude is sharply at odds with the easygoing approach of executive officer Captain Carl Griffin (Robert Ryan). Griffin eventually learns the value of discipline at all costs, while Kirby becomes more humanized as he gets to know his pilots. Jay C. Flippen steals the show as a supply sergeant who "borrows" from other companies to keep his men happy. Though not entirely clich?-free, Flying Leathernecks is one of the more solid war films of the 1950s, and one that has remained readily available in theaters, on TV and in video stores to the present day. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi |

Marvin The Martian Ray Gun $13.95 Martians have to have a death ray, otherwise, what kind of self-respecting alien would he be? That’d be like not having a flying saucer or a gleaming probe kit. It’d be laughable. There is no truer example of this than with the Looney Tunes villain Marvin the Martian. The Marvin The Martian Ray Gun is a great representation of the space gun that cartoon antagonist always wielded. Whether you want to conquer a planet or you just like knowing that you’re well protected from space raiders, the Marvin The Martian Ray Gun is a great accessory to add to your outfit this Halloween. If you like the Looney Toons antagonist Marvin the Martian, then you’ll love the Marvin The Martian Ray Gun. |

They Were Expendable/Flying Leathernecks - $9.99 Includes:They Were Expendable (1945), MPAA Rating: NR Flying Leathernecks (1951) They Were Expendable John Brickley (Robert Montgomery) believes in PT boats, and as a lowly U.S. Navy lieutenant stationed in the Philippines, that makes him a radical thinker. "Your boats maneuver beautifully," an admiral (Charles Trowbridge) tells him, "but if I'm going into combat, I prefer something a little more substantial." The gently delivered but stinging dismissal stirs the resentment of Lt. "Rusty" Ryan (John Wayne), who tartly tells Brickley that he wants to be transferred to destroyers. The Pearl Harbor bombing makes transfer impossible, especially with the Japanese preparing to invade the islands. So Brickley and Ryan go to work, first as message carriers between the Philippines and Corregidor, then, finally, as ship hunters. They record some successes, but it's a doomed effort: The Americans are hopelessly outnumbered by the Japanese, and with almost all of the Pacific Fleet destroyed at Pearl Harbor, they know help won't arrive to save them. As the Japanese push the U.S. forces back, Brickley and Ryan and their crews hop from island to island, scrounging supplies and taking casualties but keeping up the fight. Just as it appears that they will be forced to fight on Corregidor against the Japanese, they get rescued; they're ordered home to promote their PT-boat successes, and they take the last plane out, hoping to return and avenge their defeats. ~ Nick Sambides, Jr., Rovi Flying Leathernecks The Technicolor adventure epic Flying Leathernecks offers two things that film cultists can never get enough of: star John Wayne and director Nicholas Ray.
