We are living in a time when people of all ages suffer from acne. I remember a time when acne was Virtually unheard of among middle aged people.

Why?...because we were traditionally taught that this was a teenage thing. A young people skin disease effecting young persons at the onset of puberty.

We believed as adults past our twenties we were now out of the danger zone. I know I believed this myth. Till my middle aged friends starting freaking out over acne breakouts.

In fact I had cystic acne. A condition my dermatologist explained to me was not real acne.

But tiny boils or cysts all over my face resembling acne. I was told I needed good antibiotics and he prescribed me tetracycline.

My skin did clear up. But as time progressed I developed a vicious yeast infection. As a result I was taken off antibiotics.

The constant use of any antibiotics can be very destructive to your body. Causing a break down of your immune system.

Yes acne is borne from the secretions of sweat and the sebaceous glands. But there are various types of acne. The cystic acne like I had, was a warning something else was wrong. The doctor said my blood system was impure.

My skin doctor insisted 20 years ago that food and diet had nothing to do with my acne. And insisted that I continue to take the antibiotics.

I was even discouraged from trying to drink gobs of water. But as a result my skin got clearer and I lost 20 lbs.

There are so many over the counter acne products and infomercials aimed at us today from celebrity endorsements. If you have tried one or more of these acne products like most of us have.

In my quest to treat cystic acne my doctor discovered I was prone to tumors. It was discovered I had 2 fibroid tumors the size of grapefruits.

I use Dr Bronners liquid castile soap purchased from the health food store. You may also purchase it in a a bar if you like. This soap comes in peppermint,almond,lavender,eucalyptus,tea tree, rose, unscented, baby-mild and citrus orange.

Dr Bronners liquid castile soap is made up of organic oils. Coconut and olive oils with retained glycerin) organic hemp oil, jojoba oil, peppermint oil, mentha arvensis extract, citric acid and vitamin e.

This soap is stimulating to the entire body yet mild and concentrated. Is excellent for acne, ringworm or surface aliments of the skin. Wash your hair with it and your entire body.

Bathe your children and babies in it everyday. Use it as an antiseptic mouth wash. It cost about 4 dollars for an 8oz bottle from any health food store near you.

It doesn't just clean but it dissolves dirt and oil gently yet (quote) effectively. This liquid soap has been around since the early fifties.

Another pure natural soap good for all kinds of facial and scalp ailments. African black soap, not the fake black soap sold in the USA and elsewhere. But 100% pure black soap originated in Ghana and made from plantain skins, not banana skins, and palm kernel oil, cocoa pod, coconut oil, and natural sodium.

It cost about five dollars for an 5oz bar. Can be purchase from 5oz to 5lbs and in larger quantities.
